Sitecore Forms 9 Introduction
By Pankaj Gaur
Sitecore forms is a brand new module (not to be confused with Sitecore web forms) for version 9 of the Sitecore CMS.
Forms is a simple interface that has been built for marketers. It features a simple and drop of fields into a ‘canvas’ area to design for sites and devices. Extensive research has been undertaken by Sitecore’s UX and product teams to provide a tool that works for CMS users and Sitecore Developers.
Under the hood the forms architecture is separated so that technical and marketing can co-exist. Design is also separated so that forms and marketing collection modules can be presented according to the users device, mobile, tablet, desktop etc.
Data Captured can be automatically stored to any business requirement, for example: sent to a CRM system (such as Salesforce), stored internally or parsed and fed into the users profile.
